After starting slow, the Sully Buttes Chargers found a way to get past a quick, aggressive Lemmon Cowboy team, and punch their ticket back to the State B tournament to defend their title, thanks to a 66-53 victory Thursday night in Timber Lake.

The sixth-ranked Chargers will take on the third-rated Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, a rematch of the 2018 Championship game. Sully Buttes came away with the State B Championship last year. Clark/Willow Lake is 20-2 on the season and defeated Dell Rapid’s St. Mary 66-33 in the SoDak 16 to secure their trip to the State B tournament.
