SULLY BUTTES 2020 HOMECOMING COURT. The Sully Buttes student body will choose from among the candidates pictured above who will reign as Empress and Emperor over the ‘apps’ themed 2020 Olympian Days. Candidates are: Rafe Wientjes, Garrett Petersen, Zach Farries, Landon Severson, and Sedric Perkins (Escort); and Karissa Osterkamp, Gracie Dimmit, Gracie Olivier, and Jill Hofer. Dress up and hype up for Homecoming

The ‘dress up and hype up’ event of the school year is fast approaching, a bit later than usually expected. This year’s homecoming week starts on Monday, September 28.

Themes for the dress up days of the student-designed week of Homecoming have been announced as follows:

Monday – Recycled Clothing

Tuesday – Pajama Day

Wednesday – Prom clothing (upperclassmen), Trolls (freshmen)

Thursday – Multi-colored clothing

Friday – Charger day (Purple and Gold)

The determination of who will reign over Homecoming will be made at coronation on Monday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m.

Homecoming week sporting events include the Cross Country team competing at the Miller Invite on Monday at 2:00 p.m., the Volleyball team has home matches on Tuesday versus Potter County at 6:30 p.m. and on Thursday versus Philip at 6:30 p.m. The week concludes with the Homecoming football contest against North Border at 7:00 p.m.

There's an app for that

The Sully Buttes student council has announced the theme of the 2020 Sully Buttes homecoming is ‘apps.’ The ‘days of fall’ celebration gets underway on Monday, September 28 and concludes on Friday, October 2.

Area businesses are encouraged to use the theme as inspiration for participating in the window decorating contest.

ABO Administrators are working to develop alternatives to traditional homecoming activities that can’t be socially distanced
