The ‘Just Chili’n’ chili cook-off this Saturday is the latest fundraiser the Sully County Fair Board is conducting as they look forward to making the 100th Sully County Fair in 2022 the biggest ever.

A half-dozen teams are expected to gather in the backyard at the Blue Goose Sports Pub for an afternoon of cooking prize-winning chili this Saturday, February 8. “We’re still looking for teams,” said Darell Tilberg, who is coordinating the fundraiser.

The Fair Board will serve chili from the cook-off starting at 5:00 p.m. Judging will be by People’s Choice.

“We’d like to encourage everyone to come out and sample and vote for the best chili to determine the winner of the contest,” said Darell. “The weather forecast sounds favorable for the cookers and for those who would come out and sample their fare. It’s $5 for unlimited samples of chili with a side of cornbread.”

Donations to the 100-year celebration are welcome.
