The Sully County Fair Board is bringing some of the heat of the fair into the heart of winter with their 1st Annual ‘Just Chili’n Cook-Off.’
Being conducted as a fundraiser for the 100 year celebration of the Sully County Fair in 2022, the cook-off is on Saturday, February 8 in the backyard at the Blue Goose.
Culinary artists are invited to enter their best recipes. For an entry fee of $25, contestants must cook two to three gallons of edible chili over an open fire. Grills and firewood will be available. All ingredients must be cooked on-site, and judging will be by People’s Choice with the winner taking 100% of the entry fees. Contact Darell Tilberg to enter, 222-1341.
Chili connoisseurs can plan to enjoy the results of the cook-off beginning at 5:00 p.m. The cost for unlimited chili is $5/bowl.
