Sully Buttes alum Terry Mattke will appear as his alter-ego Batman at the Blue Goose Sports Pub on Friday, July 10 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Mattke says that after being asked the past couple of years ‘When are you coming home as Batman,’ it worked into his schedule that he will be home the second weekend in July.
“I’m coming home to visit,” said Mattke. “I haven’t been home for a couple of years and it's time to also bring home Batman as a thank you for all the support from back home.”
Mattke will be at the Blue Goose Friday evening July 10 for a “meet and greet with my hometown as Batman.” Mattke says that in addition to appearing as Batman, he’ll have his Batmobile with him.
“I’ll be doing a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), signing autographs and asking for a free-will donation.” Those contributing to the fundraiser will be entered into a drawing for a “ride with Batman in the Batmobile at the end of the evening.” Mattke says there will be three winners for the “ride around Onida.”
Second chance event at the Pink Petal
Mattke will continue his CMN fundraising on Saturday, July 11 from 9:00 to 11: 00 a.m. at the Pink Petal in Pierre.
“Anyone not able to make it to the Goose on Friday night will have a second chance at a meet up with Batman at the Pink Petal,” said Mattke, noting that the Pink Petal is owned by fellow Sully Buttes alum Brandy (Barber) Brockel.
“I hope everyone will come on out. I’ll be right there on Main Street in Onida. Come on out for the meet and greet, have your child bring a toy for autographs, or we will have pictures for purchase for autographs as well, with all proceeds benefitting the CMN. Hope to see everyone there!
