Singing in this year’s cantata were Soprano: Susan Lamb, Nola LaRosh, Lynne Leonard, Karissa Osterkamp, and Julene Yackley. In spite of the foul weather the area received over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the show went on. The 70th Anniversary Christmas Cantata – Memories of a Merry Christmas – was performed before a smaller than usual crowd Sunday evening, December 1.

Memories of a Merry Christmas opened with the popular Christmas carol ‘Joy to the World,’ coincidentally the name of the cantata the group performed fifty years ago.

Sharing memories of Christmases past was the theme of this year’s cantata, and the Sully Area Singers did that both in song and through the sharing of anecdotes.
