On October 14, the Sully County Public Safety Network (SCPSN) alerted the community to the closure of the Ash Avenue/185th Street railroad crossing for long overdue repairs to the crossing.

Crossing repair crews removed the existing track and crossing planks and replaced them with new materials.

Once the railroad crews had completed their portion of the crossing repair work, the crossing approaches were repaired by Morris, Inc, who had been contracted by Sully County to complete the work.

The crossing reopened Monday morning.
