Sully County Historical Society Treasurer Lew Robbennolt reports that the SCHS has received a Ring of Gold contribution.

Bud Yackley contributed $10,000 to the dome restoration. His contribution will be recognized with a plaque to be placed in the courthouse rotunda. The plaque honors lifelong Sully County residents Bud and Becky Yackley.

Additionally, the individual members of the Ringneck Energy Board of Directors have made a second payment on their matching pledge in support of the project. This matching pledge gives donors to the dome restoration the opportunity to double the impact of their contribution, and funds raised through August 31 will be matched up to $10,000.

While the filling thermometer does indicate total contributions to the dome restoration project, SCHS expenses are not reflected. The SCHS hopes that history enthusiasts will continue to support the dome restoration with their charitable donations.
