Susie Rilling was formally inducted into the Onida/Sully Buttes Athletic Hall of Fame prior to the girls’ basketball game on December 17 during the Lyman doubleheader.
With an athletic career and journey that began when she was an 8th grader, Susie Rilling lettered in volleyball, basketball, and track for five years. Susie led the Chargers to four state volleyball appearances, and was named to the All-Tourney team twice. In 1992, she made the Aberdeen American News All Area team, was named the Capital Journal Athlete of the Week, and was voted to the All-State team and participated in the All Star game. She was awarded Most Valuable Player and the team Hustler for the Chargers that year.
