The red carpet is being rolled out for area stars to take the stage at the Hollywood themed youth talent contest sponsored by Yackley Ranches and Silver City Symphony during the Sully County Fair on Saturday, August 10 at 1:30 p.m.
“The fairgrounds stage will sizzle as the next generation of Sully County stars give it their all,” said contest coordinator Moriah Gross. “The youth talent contest has been a fair favorite for many years, and we encourage everyone to watch our young entertainers.”
Gross says that the talent contest is open to kids 19-years-old and younger, and that prizes will be awarded to the first three places in each division. “The top four contestants will go to the State Fair this year in Huron,” said Gross.
Over the years, talent acts have included dance numbers, sign language, interpretative movement, piano, guitar, and violin solos, comedy acts, magic acts, and even rope tricks.
Youth 19-years-old and younger are encouraged to take the stage next Saturday, August 10. Comedians, poets, dancers and other artists are welcome. Vocalists and instrumentalists should have music accompaniment in an audio format on a smart device. The three age divisions are: 0-5 years, 6-12 years and 13-19 years.
