Maci Fessler has for the past three months been serving the local BankWest branch as the Business Development Officer.
The Mitchell native says that position fit into the progression of her job growth. “I went right into the workforce from high school at a different financial institution, a small town bank I’d banked at my whole life,” said Maci. She went from the teller line to being a loan secretary, and becoming a loan officer was the next logical step in her career path. “The position was a chance to move to a smaller town with a bigger opportunity.
For BankWest, Maci provides exceptional customer and financial services to Onida’s community and ag producers.
Maci says that she has done a lot of work with Payroll Protection Program loans, which has given her a chance to become better acquainted with the community.
She makes her home with her boyfriend, Onida native Casey Clark, and her children, sons Hayden, age 10, and Wade, age six, and their three dogs. “When I’m not working, I’m keeping my house together,” said Maci. “We go on walks a lot,” and they spend time in the outdoors. “I do a lot of baking, cooking, and crafts.”
With Casey starting up his new business, Clark Powersports and Small Engine Repair, they spend time in their driveway connecting with “people who drive by and wave.”
They are looking forward to summer when they can spend more time at the pool and in campgrounds. “We camp a lot in summer,” said Maci. “The boys like the pool, and so do I, so we’ll be there in the evenings.”
“I’m enjoying getting to know the community.”
