The salad supper to raise funds in support of the Sully County Fair has been held for several years. Meant to be an annual event, the COVID-19 pandemic put the fundraiser on the back-burner, and out of an abundance of caution, the supper was canceled in 2020. The supper makes its return to local calendars on Wednesday, July 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the Sully County Phoenix Center.

To capture the ‘Steaks and Cakes’ theme of this year’s supper, the salad supper committee will “hold an old fashioned cake walk,” said Gerri Carpenter, “as another way to raise money for the fair, so bring your checkbook.” Heartier dishes will be incorporated into the menu to fulfill the ‘steaks’ element of the theme.

Tickets for the ‘Steaks and Cakes’ salad supper sell for $10. Contact Jessica Olivier 295-2292 or Gerri Carpenter 280-2319 to arrange to host a table, donate a cake, or to purchase a ticket.
