The first item of business for the Agar-Blunt-Onida school board Monday was executive session, and when they returned to regular session, the board voted to accept the resignation of Superintendent Kevin Pickner effective no later than June 30, 2021.
“We hate to see you go, but we understand,” said Board President Bob Graff. “We hope you have a good time in retirement.” Pickner acknowledged that it was a tough decision to make.
To find a replacement for Pickner, the board accepted the proposal from Dakota Education Consulting to conduct a candidate search and facilitate the selection process. A date for setting the process into motion was not determined.
