As a way to ‘capture life while everyone is quarantined safe at home,’ Bailey Nelson of Captured Moments by Bailey M photography studio announced in an April 7 Facebook post that she would join photographers from around the world in the Front Porch Project.
The Project gives photographers an opportunity to take the initiative to give back to the community. “I love and miss my clients so much and have wanted to find a way to give back,” said Bailey in her post. “After all, it’s all of you who have shaped and molded my art to be what it is.”
Community members interested in having their ‘porchraits’ taken contacted Bailey, and she set up a route for doing 5-minute family photoshoots from afar in which families went outside and had some fun with each other while being photographed from the safety of their own porch or front yard.
Saying she was “spreading some love,” Bailey posted the results of the photoshoot, which she conducted last Friday, April 24. “Such a fun time going from door to door capturing all these smiling faces.”
There is no charge for the photoshoots, and Bailey asks only that she be tagged by anyone posting their ‘porchraits’ on social media. Bailey is planning “another go round in the next week or two.” Anyone interested in participating in the Front Porch Project should contact Bailey at facebook.com/bailey.bradford.94
