Photo banners depicting the graduating seniors have been erected on the courthouse lawn. After private commencement exercises, the seniors will kick off a celebratory parade starting at the courthouse at 2:00 p.m. this Saturday, May 23. All are invited to commemorate the special occasion by lining up along Main Street in cars or on the sidewalk with signs of appreciation, balloons and streamers.

ABO administrators remind the public that commencement is a closed ceremony limited only to the graduates and their families.

The ceremony will be

broadcast ‘live’ on the district’s Facebook page.

The Sully Buttes High School Class of 2020 will walk around the track to collect their high school diplomas this Saturday, May 23 at 1:00 p.m. in a private ceremony at the football field. The graduates will parade down Main Street after commencement exercises at around 2:00 p.m.

The principle speaker for the ceremony will be Hayley Miller. Members of the class of 2020 will give the Welcome and Closing Addresses. ABO Guidance Counselor Kris Sweeter will make scholarship presentations.

The class has chosen the purple carnation as their class flower, and the class colors are black, purple and silver. The class motto is a Winnie the Pool quote, “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

The graduates of the SBHS Class of 2020 are Taylor Christ, Jack Darling, Brianna Fanger, Tatyana Ferguson, Angela Guthmiller, Aspen Heath, Grant Johnson, Kenean Johnson, Quinn Jordre, Kendra Kleven, Jett Lamb, Kari-Anne Lyons, Lexie Marshall, Kiley McGee, Gabby McQuirk, Tryston Ogle, Avery Weinheimer, Shalie Weinheimer, and Nick Wittler.

Senior Class advisors are April Kelly, Andy Schmahl and Brielle Bohle.
