Delite Kay Klinkhammer died on January 2, 2022 at the age of 77 years. She was born in Onida SD on September 17, 1944, the fifth of ten children of Russell and Wava Hyde.

In 1961, she married Bob Ripley in Onida. Two children were born of this union: Lori (Kramer) and Shelli (Shelton). After the marriage ended, Delite enrolled in VoTech in Mitchell, SD. Here she met Kurt Klinkhammer. The two were married in 1971. From this marriage were born Darci (Rogers) and Kaiser.

Throughout her life, Delite worked as a bookkeeper, secretary, retail supervisor and beloved lunch lady. After her retirement, Delite moved to Craig Colorado to be closer to her great-grandsons.

Throughout her life, Delite held a love of singing, and of playing cards. The two loves merged as singing often broke out in the middle of a card game. Delite also loved practical jokes after defending herself against seven brothers, and was well known for short sheeting the bed on visitors or sealing the toilet bowl with plastic wrap for unsuspecting victims.

Delite is survived by her daughters Lori, Shelli and Darci, her siblings Darwin (Kay), David, Darrell (Darla), Craig (Peggy) and Cynthia (John Neimi), her grandchildren Samantha, Raidar and Zack, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Wava, her husband Kurt, siblings Doug, Dallas, Leroy and Sharon (Maroney), son Kaiser, son in-law Paul Rogers, and granddaughter Casha.

At her request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Sandrock Ridge Care and Rehab, Activities Fund, 943 W. 8th Dr., Craig CO 81625.
