The Oahe Speedway hosted its 10th annual Jr. Jam race on July 6-7. Kids from the ages of 6-17 years raced their dragsters for payouts, prizes, and custom made trophies. The participants and their families traveled from all across the state for racing, a potluck dinner, water balloon fight and ended the evening with a camp fire. The Minor division champion was Noah Horsley from Pierre and runnerup was Anna Stickelmeyer from Aberdeen. In the Major division, Justin Ehlers from Pierre was the champion and Jordyn Jurgens from Watertown was the runner up.

Saturday's Jr. Jam was run alongside special guest appearance by the Rocky Mountain Super Chargers which brought in race fans to fill the fence line. Sunday started with nondemonational worship service with RFC chaplain Marla Huse and ended with points races #5. It was a spectacular weekend complete with great weather! The next weekend of drag racing will be July 20-21. Check out points standings and schedule at oahespeedway.com.
